For Saturday’s LA Loves Alex’s Lemonade (one of my fave food fests) which raises funds to fight childhood cancer, Christiaan Rollich of Lucques, Tavern and AOC will be doing up a malty, rich beer cocktail for the good-hearted masses.

Tickets for the event, which takes place at the Culver Studios from 12 to 4pm, are still available at $175 for general admission. Christiaan will be among the many renowned mixologists participating at Alex’s, like Eric Alperin (The Varnish), Neal Bodenheimer (New Orleans’ Cure), Chris Ojeda (Soho House) and Tim Staehling (The Hungry Cat).

If you can’t make the event, Christiaan was good enough to share his recipe for you to DIY at home!

The Pinkerton

  • 1 1/2 oz. Bols Genever
  • 3/4 oz. black strap molasses
  • 3/4 oz. lime
  • 3/4 oz. apple
  • 1 oz. Old Rasputin stout
  • 3 dashes Angostura bitters

1) Combine ingredients in a shaker and dry shake. Then add ice and shake again.

2) Strain into martini glass.

3) Hydro plane lime zest on top.
